Mrs. Vanasse is a recognized import and export specialist. She is the founder and president & CEO of Vanasse & Associés Consultants inc. for the last 24 years. Her fields of expertise include international commerce management, strategic planning, international logistics (transportation, distribution and customs), traceability, supply chain and goods management, as well as business management, business transfer and transmission and project management.
Vanasse & Associés Consultants inc. clients, some of which are multinationals, are based in Canada, Europe, Australia and the United States, among other countries.
During her career, Mrs. Vanasse has given conferences, seminars and copious hours of training on international commerce and management for her public and private sector clients, including: the MDEIE, the BDC, the CCI, the HECs, Emploi Québec, the Quebec Agri-Food Export Club, the MAPAQ, I.E.Canada, the Board of Trade of Metropolitain Montreal - World Trade Centre Montréal. In France, Groupe ESC Toulouse, Toulouse Business School of Toulouse, and Classe-Export have also called on her services. Other projects are currently in the development process.
Mrs. Vanasse has degrees from the University of Québec at Trois-Rivières and the University of Montreal. She continually upgrades her training so she can remain on the cutting edge of topics that interest her and for which she provides services-counsel.
From 1991 up to March 31, 2011, she was a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Administrators. From 2000 to 2004, she was a member of the Montreal Regional Committee, of which she is a past president. She has also sat on the Disciplinary Council from 2002 to 2010 (View document). Mrs. Vanasse is the recipient of the “Prix Reconnaissance 2002” (Recognition Prize 2002) awarded by the Quebec Order of Chartered Administrators.
Mrs. Vanasse is also a member of the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada (CCFC), the Quebec Network of Management Consultants (QNMC), the Cercle Esteler, the Cercle des Femmes professionnelles and the Association des Conseillers en Transmission d’Entreprises et Relève du Québec (ACTER) - (Quebec Association of Consultants for Business Transfer and Transmission).
She is a member of the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters (I.E.Canada) and, in September 2009, she accepted a seat on the Association’s Quebec Chapter Committee. In 2010, she sat on the Exportation Committee at the Chambre de commerce de l’Est de Montréal.
In 2008, she became a member of the Club des Initiés, Affaires internationales, an international business club. She has been on the Club’s board of directors since February 2009 and holds the post of vice-president. In 2010, she was named “Initiée de l’année” (Authority of the year) by the Club.
In 2010, she became a professional recommended by the "SAJE accompanying business people" (Quebec, Canada) in conjunction with the SUCCES-RELÈVE program (Accompanying consultant of business buyers/takeovers). She also sits on the “Community of practice – Business Transfer and Transmission” committee at the RCMQ.
Mrs. Vanasse has written several articles for such publications as the Expéditeur (now Gestion & Logistique); ICI Magazine; Québec Inc Magazine; Action Canada-France, The Business People’ Magazine; a French Magazine Classe-Export, Lyon, France; and also for Les Éditions Techniques de l’Ingénieur, Paris, France. In 2007, she became a member-partner of the Fédération Internationale des Journalistes et Écrivains des Vins et Spiritueux (FIJEV), an international organization for wine journalists and writers.
